THE BRUNSWICK DAILY NEWJ
TO HAVE A
GALA DAY
■.o. —-
BRUNSWICK RIFLEMEN ARE FIG
URING ON HAVING ONE ON
ST. SIMON.
It is very probable that the Bruns
wick Riflemen will have a gale day on
St. Simon the latter part of this
month.
The plan is now being talked of
among the members and will be sub
mitted to the company at the next
meeting and will no doubt meet with
their favor. The plan is to have a
general outing on the island, to which
the naval reserves and several out of
town companies will be invited to par
ticipate.
In the forenoon, it is suggested to
have a target shoot, ali companies
participating. In the afternoon will
be a sham battle and skirmish drill,
and other features to entertain the
visitors who will accompany the sol
diers. The day to end up with a
dance in the pavilion at night.
it is more than probable that the
company will decide on the matter at
the meeting next week and will at
once begin preliminary arrangements.
The reserves and a number of other
companies would, it 1b thought, ac
cept the invitation, and Join them In
having a good time and entertaining
the hundreds of visitors who would
visit the Island on that day. The
boat lines will offer a special rate for
the occasion and nil In all. a real good
time could be had.
