we take the following, which will be
of interest here:
Judge Spencer R. Atkinson, chair
man of toe Georgia railroad commis
sion, will not he an applicant for re
appointment, and Hon. Warner Hill,
of Meriwether county, will ho named
to sneceod him. Judge Atkinson an
nounced to his various friends at the
eapitol and in the legislature today
that he would not apply for the place
and since lie made the announcement

named to succeed him.

as to hear her. The Daughters are
very enthusiastic over the conference
to he held here next year. Plans are
already being discussed In regard to
raising funds for the entertainment of
Ule visitors. The monument to Gen
eral Oglethorpe is now an assured
fact, anu an appropriate one will short
