who was maid of honor at Mrs. Davis
wedding here five years ago, will be
one of the sponsors. Dr. and Mrs.
Wheeler will also lie sjlbnsors for the
little girl who is to receive the pretty
name of Barbara Elizabeth Hine.
I’hcir friends here will regret to learn
that Ms. Davis intended visit here to
her mother, Mrs. Howard 1.. Hine, will
lie deferred until next March.

The Jewish ladies of this city are
irranging for a "Rummage Sale to be
given December 16 for the purpose of
raising funds to improve and beautify
their cemetery. This is a worthy
cause and this good move on the part
of tnese ladies should receive support
from all denomiations. The ladies in
charge request that all who have old
articles of clothing, furniture, chitm
or anything in this line for which they
have no use to kindly notify Mrs.
Kaiser or some other of those inter
ested in it and they will send for the
articles. Only the better class of peo
ple will be called upon for donation:
so that the articles will not be objec
tionable in anyway. The ladies earn
estly request that all the ladies of
Brurnswiek respond to this appeal and

A delightful supper was served. The
success of the entertainment is large
ly due to the efficient work of the
