The D. A. R. held an interesting
meeting yesterday afternoon. It was
decided to give a series of matinees,
presented by local talent, during the
month of June. The matinee will oc
cur each Friday in June and will be
a pleasant diversion for the ladies and
children of this city. At this meet
ing Rev. C. G. Bradley was elected
chaplain of the Brunswick chapter.
Attractive programs will be arranged
for each occasion and the innovation
will doubtless prove very popular.

Master Franklin Aiken celebrated
his , seventh birthday yesterday with
a very enjoyable party, at which he
entertained his little boy friends. Af
ter playing various games, the little
folks enjoyed refreshments, served at
fresco, on the lawn and veranda. Those

PETITION FOR CHARTER.

GLYNN COUNTY.
To the Honorable Superior Court of
Said County:
The petition of E. V. Nicholl and
Howard Williams, of Glynn county
and said state, and H. F. Nicholl, of
the town of Mandarin and state of
Florida, respectfully shows unto the
court: .
1. That petitioners desire for them
selves, their associates, successors
and assigns, to he incorporated under
the corporate name and style of “The
Bello River Packing Company."
2. That the term for which petit
ioners desire to be incorporated is
twenty years, with the right and priv
ilege of renewal at the end of that
time as allowed by law.
3. Thiit the object of said corpora
tion is pecuniary profit to be derived
in its business: and the particular
business petitioners propose to con-

cf oysters and other shell fish, in any
and all of the sounds, bays, waters,
estuaries, rivers and creeks on the
coast of Georgia, and within the jur
isdiction of said state or of any oth

valuation shall be fixed by petitioners
upon organization and election of

per cent, of the capital stock has al

said company shall be liable for the
amount of unpaid sffock subscription;
and generally to do all and any and
every act and thing necessary and
proper to he done in the conduct of
the business of the company, not in

made a body corporate under the name

E. Briesenick, J. E. Morgan and J.
Stovall Smith, all of said state and
