MRS. J. G. YOUNG PASSES AWAY

Mrs J. O. Young, aged 03, passed
away yesterday afternoon at her home

of several days. Mrs. Young has been

her condition. However she died
very suddenly, as she was resting

t i?. Probable That Augusta Will Be
Selected as the Place.
Tlie following from yesterday’s Sa
vananh News will lie of interest in
Brunswick, inasmuch as the Riflemen
ire members of the First regiment:
The committee from the military
and chamber of commerce, composed
of Mayor Myers, Col. P W. Meldrim,
’ol G. A. Gordon, and Col. ,T. H
Estill, which waited on Governor Ter
rell to ascertain ids pleasure concern
ing Die coming encampment of the
First regiment qI infantry and caval
ry, returned from Atlanta yesterday.
Tin; members of the First regiment
are anxiouly awaiting news from Au
gusta The governor having said
I hat if that city wnouM raise sl. hip
for the encampment, the First and
Third regiments would be assigned
to that, point, the action of the citi
zens is being watched with r.nterest. I
It. is believed here that the gover
nor will receive an answer from that
city today. In that event Col. G.
A. Gordon, commanding the First in
fantry, would probably receive or
ders from Ibe governor at once. If
Augusta does not subscribe to the
condition imposed Griffin will be desi
gnateed. The men, as a rule, favor
Augusta.
