In a Rose Ga.den.
A hundred years from now, dear heart,
We shall not. earn at all.
ft will not matter then a whit
The honey or the Kali.
The slimmer days that wo have known
Will then forgotten he and flown,
The garden will he overgrown
Where now the roses fall.
A hundred years from now. dear heart
WV shall not. dread the |>ain.
The throbbing, crimson tide of life
Will not have left a stain.
The song we sing together, dear,
The threatening shadows that we fear
Will mean no more than means a tear
Amidst a summer's rain.
A hundred years from now. dear heart
We'll neither know nor care
What comes of all life's bitterness,
Or followed loves’s despair;
So nil the glasses tip again.
Aral kiss me through the rose-leaf rain
We'll build one castle more in Spain.
And dream one more dream there.
