make this their home. They will be
guests for a day or two of Mr. and
Mrs. C. McGarvey.

church will give an elegant lunch and
supper next Tuesday in the Dillon
building opposite McGarvey’s store. A
delicious menu will be served at reas

Mrs. J. W. Thomas will go to At
lanta next week to spend some time
with her son, Jesse Thomas who is a
student at the Tech. Their friends re
gret to know that the latter is suf
fering very much with his eyes, neces
sitating medical treatment and probab
ly a partial rest from liis studies.

The charity ball occurred last night
at the parlors of the Oglethorpe and
it was a brilliant success. Socially
attended in force and enjoyed a de
lightful evening. The music was ex
excellent, the refreshments delicious
and altogether the allair reilected cred
it upon Mrs. W. H. De Voe who man
aged it. . _,
