val and street fair to be gven here be
ginning tomorrow morning will be a j
much larger affair than is anticipated
by the people of the city.
Besides the sevr ral free attract
ions, there will be any number of
small shows and many of them ate
said to be very good ones.
A large number of the people con
nected with the carnval arrived in the
city Sunday night and yesterday, and
about a hundred are already here, pre
paring for the opening tomorrow.
The affair has been quite thoroughly
advertised over the nearby country
and it is expected that a number of
vsitors will be in the city during the
week.
The Berger Carnival Company who
furnishes the attractions, is a well
known and reliable carnival company
and is said to .present some realty
good attractions. The company lias
been exhibiting in a number of cities
in this section during the past few:
months and has been quite success
ful.

TAX NOTICE.

by the mayor and council in which to
pay 1903 city taxes. The last day
under the ordinance, was November
30th. By special order, I am author
ized to receipt tor taxes untii Monday
December 23th, 1903. The digests will
then be turned over to the clerk of
council, who will be obliged to issue
executions against all in default. Pay
now, in order that you may save costs
of execution.
