JIT THE GRAND
“HER OWN WAY" LAST NIGHT.
Small Audience Witnessed Unusually
Good Play.
“Her Own Way,” a society comedy
irom Clyde Fitch’s 'pen, presented by
Jules Murry, was the attraction last
night, and probaDly never has an at
traction deserved a larger audience.
Just whY'the audience was so smaii
can not be accounted for: the author
has a reputation as a playwright, the
leading lady is prominent m theatri
cal circles, and everything expecte s
in a first-class company was there.
Sylvia Lynden played the part of
Georgiana’ Carley, the roie in whicn
Maxine Elliott met with such success
for two seasons, and she gave an im
pressive interpretation. In the emo
tional scenes in the third and fourth
acts Miss Lynden arose splendidly to
the demands of the part, and best
demonstrated her ability as an
actress.
From her appearance in the very
first act. when she takes part in a
children s birthday 'party, Miss Lyn
den attracts the attention ot ner audi
ence. She is graceful and acts in 1
painstaking way, in fact, after each
act there was a curtain can.
The play Ts staged like all of Fitch's
productions, in that proper and cor
rect manner that makes it attractive
and enjoyable. There is ample op
portunity for each character to mane
his or her part stand out, and the
support given the star was one of the
toatureß oi the production. Each
character was in the hands of capable
performers, and tne play was easily
tlie best that has appeared at the
Grand this season.

“After using Cuticura Soap, Oint

I am entirely relieved of that itching

took the Cuticura Remedies. I think
I used several cakes of Cuticura Soap,
