TOMORROW IS REAL BEGINNING
OF HUNTING SEASON 1922-1923
That ther e will be scores out to
morrow, the real beginning of the
hunting season, there is no doubt and
reports are that game, both large ani^
i g plentiful a nd especially is
this true t Quail. In fact, those
who h a ve been in the woods, report
that both fur and feathers can be
found in greater numbers than at any
lime in the recent Past. Sportsmen
attribute this to enforcement of the
state and national law's regulating
hunting.
REVISED CITY TRAFFIC
LAW EARLY PROBABILITY.
Those who are at- the head of the
movement for a revision of th e traf
fle law regulating especially motor
vehicles are confident that the board
■>f city commissioners will take heed
of the demand that is made in the
name of public' safety. Ordiances
of other cities ar e being studied and
that nearly all of these have regula
tions not emobdied in those in vogue
here is apparent. It will b e ,two or
three weeks before the petition will
go to the board.
DON’T WORRY—THERE WILL
BE THANKSGIVING TURKEYS.
Some apprehension has been felt
by local turkey lovers that the sup
ply for Thanksgiving would not
eqrial the demand but this is ’ all
wrong. The birds will be on £ the
market and you can get any number
if you have the price. It will range
from 40: to 50 cents per pound but
not dressed, however. A local whole
sale conWhjssion merchant informed
The'rNews;yesterday that there woiijd
ne : ho scarcity .in turkeys but there
may b e in the necessary amount to
get them.
