53 rwiLD HEALTH OfHSAMIZATIQr
The little lady sitting at her dress
.i;; table is not a star of the stage,
no 1 ye! a daughter of wealth. She
ls just an American school girl,
typical of hundreds of thousands in
U , i-ountry, and she is beautiful.
ii'L vanity case is responsible for
a. charms. Look closely at the
.u-ompallying find photograph and you
will the secret of perfect health
and happiness.
Tic components of her Vanity
Case have been selected with infinite
catv and after long research bv
“Professor Happy,” ... ** 4 the - wizard ’ ' of ‘
tiic American Child Health Associa¬
tion. ol which Herbert Hoover is the
president. The Association was
formed by the merging of the Ameri¬
can Child Hygiene Association and
the Child Health Organization of
America, and one of its many pur¬
pose.' ir to establish a child health
education program in the schools
thai. will interest the children of
th > country “Professor Happy’s
job is to address high school stu¬
dent! on tiie advantages of a wise
i; t and other health questions, and
V ■ his message in enter¬
tain. . i . i.ion.
Among his aids to pulchritude
i
there is Cow’s Vanishing Cream,
seen at the rear of the dressing table
with a dainty bow of ribbon decorat¬
ing the top. The rouge on this table
is Cream Kissed Carrots; the com¬
plexion cream is “Essence of Oat¬
meal; Carmine Beets make the lip¬
stick and the Skin Softener is picked
from the boughs of the nearest ap¬
ple tree. Miss America is demon¬
strating article her f;; i the last named
in the Vt. i Case and is just
about to prove “Professor Happy’s”
contention that it “will remove
mysterious and unsightly rashes
from the face and bring a soft, white
skin.”
Other ingredients of the Vanity
Case are:
Aquae Vitae—the water of life,
and for best results four glasses
should be taken a day.
Eau de Bain, the water of cleanli¬
ness; this should be mixed with pure
soap in a shining white tub.
“Happy’s” Sleep—will eradicate
wrinkles and give the mouth a per¬
manent curve. It will not evaporate
in fresh air and should be mixed
at the proportion of one bedful to
an open window. Wash before ap¬
plying.
Complexion Powders, extracted
from wholesome cereals.
Powder Puffs, made from fluffy
baited potatoes.
Eye Sparklers, made of phos¬
phorus taken from tempting creamed
onions.
Vanity Brushes for the teeth.
Perfumes, squeezed from fresh,
luscious fruits.
For the enlightenment of skeptics,
who doubt the beneficial results of
close application to this dressing
table, “Happy” has produced i
splendid testimonial. He says:
“A huge rock was recently un¬
earthed near the Garden of Eden.
On it was chiseled a letter from Eve
endorsing Happy’s Vanity Case.”
At any rate the American Child
Health Association knows from vast
experience in health work among
children that if any American girl
elects to use “Happy’s” Vanity Case,
his promise to her will be fulfilled.
And the consequent blush on the
cheeks and sparkle in the eyes will
be permanent.
The American Child Health Asso¬
ciation’s national headquarters is at
532 Seventeenth Street, Washington,
is p. maintained C., while an at administrative 370 7th Avenue, office
New York City.
