when the additional sum of $20,000 has
been taken—ten thousand dollars worth
of the Bonds to be made payable Janua
ry Ist, 1852, and the balance in five and
ten years, at 7 per cent. The sum ol
$ 16,000 was subscribed in the meeting,
and the further sum of $15,000 guaran
teed by Messrs. Mustain, Lowe and oth
ers —thus leaving no doubt in regard to
the success of both enterprises. The
meeting w as a large one, and the city au
thorities will doubtless issue the bonds, as
requested,
