This is owing to-the extremely unfavorable weather which has been experienced for several days past. It wilt also be seen that the shipments are short of last week. The want of cars has prevented shipments, Oglethorpe Dec. 19th 1851. The market is active, demand good. We quote tile market at 6£ a 7gets. We should like to know why it is that the Savannah, Macon, and Cofnnrhus papers quote every other Cotton Market but leave Oglethorpe out; is it because they envy the prosperity of the ‘City of the Woods!’ Savannah Dec. 17.
