It will be seen by the above statement that
the receipts of this week fall short of last
over a thousand bales. This is owing to-the
extremely unfavorable weather which has
been experienced for several days past.
It wilt also be seen that the shipments are
short of last week. The want of cars has
prevented shipments,

Sparta, Ga. Nov. 21st, 1851.
Mr. Buck.—The Map of North America,
by Jacob Monk, of Baltimore, exhibited by
yon at the late Southern Central Fair, was
not.noticed by the committee on miscellanies
for want of.limc. I take pleasure in saying
that there is probably no other Map present
ing so accurately and entirely at one view
our comment. And Ido not hesitate to say
that the Map of the World, displaying at one
view every important point on the Globe
with its latitude and longitude, is of itself
worth the moderate price you clmrge for the
whole. I deeply regret that as it is a South
ern work, it did not pass underpin.* inspection
of the Committee.
Very Respectfully,
