when his parent had finished the letter he
was writing and sought the i (Tending

In this pr‘|Mtration wo have all tho restorative properties
of ihe root, concern rated in their utmost strength and (
e(Piracy ; hut while Sarsaparilla lloot forms an impor
tant part ofils combination, it is, :u the same time, com
pound with oilier vegetable renudies of great power, and
ii is in the peculiar combination and scientific manner
ofits preparation.that its remarkable success in the cure
of disease depends. It arts simultanron sly upon the
stomach, the circulation and the bowels; and thus three
processes which are ordinarily the result of three diller
ent kinds of medicine, are carried on at the same time,
through the instrumentality of this one remedial agent,
which gently stimulates while it disinfects ami expels
from the stomach and bowels all that is irritating, and
at the same time restores their vigor mid lone. Its great
merit is, that it meets and neutralizes the actvo principle
of disease itself, and when that is gone, the symptoms
necessarily disappear ; and e have only to point to the
accumulated tesiim myof multitudes who experienced
its effects, to convince incredulity itselfof its real value.
The Proprietorssuhmit to the public the following
certificate from a highly respectable source, of a cure
made by using their preparation of Sarsaparilla :
New York, Feb. 17,1819.
A/e asm. Sands:—Waving suffered many years with
a disease of my throat, affecting the larynx, during which
time 1 was treated by-the most distinguished physicians
Furope and the. United States, without receiving any
permanent benefit, hut all the time my general heal tit
and strength declining, and the disease making fearful
progress : caustic applications were used, and whatever
else was thought most efficient for producing n cure;
hut lam confident the deplorable situation 1 was in, the
laryngitis being, accompanied with phthisis and great
difficulty in breathing, would soon have terminated my
life, had 1 not obtained relief through tho medium of
your ip valuable Sarsaparilla. 1 must say gentlemen,
when 1 commenced using the Sarsaparilla 1 did not
place much confidence ini ts virtues; and this will not
surprise yon. when Von are informed 1 had tried more
than fifty different remedies during the past four years,
without any success; Initufter taking your Sarsaparilla
a few weeks. 1 was obliged at last to yield to evidence.
This marvellous specific has not only relieved but cured
me; and 1 therefore think it inyduty, gentlemen, for
the benefit of suffering humanity, to give you this attes
tation of my cure. Yours, very truly,
