A remarkable case of Rheumatism and Fils cured in 3 weeks; Ball Hill Muscogee Cos. jah £S, 1852. Mr; Editor: Sir permit me to comma nicate to the Afflicted through the columns of your valuable paper the following facts. About three months ago my Son Shepherd: aged 22 years was attacked with acute Rheumatism in both of his knees which was so severe that it soon effected his whole svs tent, and seemed to locate principally, on his Brain Lungs and heart. The 4ih day after he was attacked he commenced having hard Fits. 1 immediately called in qn eminent Physician, who treated Ids case three weeks. But without benefit, J then called in two more Physicians o ft the same order (Old School) one of w.bonf treated his case two weeks, still lie grew wotse, and had from two to three tits nearly every night. The Doctors saief that Ins condition was strange and cutkal, and they scented to be at a loss .okhorfwlm to do for him, ns the remedies d*6y prescribed, had no efTect towards it liev., ing him. And all who saw my Son thought that he would be certain to die. But just as 1 was about to relax all efforts of halving anything more done for hint, some person sent me one of Dr. Rowland’s Circulars, 1 examined it and saw that the certificates were front reliable sources; and I resolved to haul Shepherd to Dr. R. When we ar rived at the Doctor’s lie was just alive and it was all that could be said, for he was re duced so much that lie could be compared to nothing but a living skeleton to use the phrase, and at all limes he suffered with the most violent excruciating pains, his mind was very muclM ffected also. The second day after Dr. R. Commenced treating his case, he sloped liavirg (its, and the fifth day Ids pains subsided in a great degree, then left him under cate of Dr. R. and returned home, related to my neighbors the exlraoi dinaiy relief niv Son experienced in so short a time, many seemed to doubt, and all were peitecilv astonished. He remained at the Doctors o weeks, and it afloids me pleasure to say that I believe lie has cllected a petma "i nt cure, as Shepherd has had no Symptoms of a relapse in any way lor several weeks- It is• inv wish that the above statement l published so that others laboring under such and similiai diseases may lie I em filed also Yoiiis&c. Henry grew worse and had from one to two hard fits a week. iSjiit and vomited up large quantities ol blood. As I consider ed Ids case perfectly hopeless for a time, l had nothing done “for him. When I sent Henry to you, l would have taken a mere trifle lor him, now I consider that he is worth S9OO. Persons afflicted with such or similar diseases, would do well to give vou a trial. Yours &c., WM. FAULK. N. B. Henry is still well, 22 Sept. 1851.
