Mr 7? Tl Stflrrn, — I have the pleasute to inform yon
that I have used in my practice your celebrated Vermi

Fahnestock's, but being Persuaded to try yours, I have
found it far supperior in every respect, and can say with
out the fear of contradiction, that your Vermifuge pos

Mr. R F. Sellers, —Os your Vermifuge, 1 can say
without hesitation that having used it extensively in my

Mr. R F Sellers, —I think it right, for the benefit of
othehi, to state some facts in relation to your excellent
Family Medicines.
1 have used your Vermifuge largely in my own family,
one vial frequently an so efing for expelling large quan

by J. S. Houghton, M. D. Philadelphia.
This is truly a vvomlrfiil remedy for Indigestion, dys

agent, the (>astric Juice. $3“ Half a teaspoonful of
Pepsin, infused in water, will digest or dissolve five ponds
nf roast beef in about two hours, out of the stomach.
jPeppin is the chief element or great digestive princi
ple of the Gastric juice—the solvent orthe food, the
purifying, preserving, ami stimulating agent of the stom
ach and intestines, tt is extracted from the digestive
stomach of the Ox, thus forming an artificial digestive
fluid, precisely like tlie natural gnstic juice in ifs cherniy
cal powers, and furnishing a compete and perfect suljiti
tute for it. Hy the aid of this preparation the paAßff nnd
evils of indigestion and dyspepsia are removed, just as
they would be by a healthy stomach. It is lUring wonders
for dyspeptics, curing cases of debility, enfeciation, ner

on the verge of the grave. The scientific upon which it is

A remarkable case of Rheumatism and
Fils cured in 3 weeks;
Ball Hill Muscogee Cos. jah £S, 1852.
Mr; Editor: Sir permit me to comma
nicate to the Afflicted through the columns
of your valuable paper the following facts.
About three months ago my Son Shepherd:
aged 22 years was attacked with acute
Rheumatism in both of his knees which was
so severe that it soon effected his whole svs
tent, and seemed to locate principally, on his
Brain Lungs and heart. The 4ih day after
he was attacked he commenced having hard
Fits. 1 immediately called in qn eminent
Physician, who treated Ids case three weeks.
But without benefit, J then called in two
more Physicians o ft the same order (Old
School) one of w.bonf treated his case two
weeks, still lie grew wotse, and had from
two to three tits nearly every night. The
Doctors saief that Ins condition was strange
and cutkal, and they scented to be at a loss
.okhorfwlm to do for him, ns the remedies
d*6y prescribed, had no efTect towards it liev.,
ing him. And all who saw my Son thought
that he would be certain to die. But just
as 1 was about to relax all efforts of halving
anything more done for hint, some person
sent me one of Dr. Rowland’s Circulars, 1
examined it and saw that the certificates
were front reliable sources; and I resolved
to haul Shepherd to Dr. R. When we ar
rived at the Doctor’s lie was just alive and
it was all that could be said, for he was re
duced so much that lie could be compared to
nothing but a living skeleton to use the
phrase, and at all limes he suffered with the
most violent excruciating pains, his mind was
very muclM ffected also. The second day
after Dr. R. Commenced treating his case,
he sloped liavirg (its, and the fifth day Ids
pains subsided in a great degree, then
left him under cate of Dr. R. and returned
home, related to my neighbors the exlraoi
dinaiy relief niv Son experienced in so short
a time, many seemed to doubt, and all were
peitecilv astonished. He remained at the
Doctors o weeks, and it afloids me pleasure
to say that I believe lie has cllected a petma
"i nt cure, as Shepherd has had no Symptoms
of a relapse in any way lor several weeks-
It is• inv wish that the above statement l
published so that others laboring under such
and similiai diseases may lie I em filed also

MARION, TWIttOS Cl IINIV, ft A, JANUARY, 1851
Dr. Rowland, Sir: I present you the
following ceilificafe which I liope von will
have published, so that others laboring tin.,
der such diseases may be beiiefilted also.
/Ibout two years ago, one of my servants
(Henry), was severely attacked with spit
ting and vomiting of blood, attended with
hard fits which he had paroxysms of weekly.
I imn ediatelv placed hint • under the treat
ment of the most eminent Physicians of the
“Id school in this section and after treating
his case a long lime, they said he could not
be cured, and was beyond the reach of med
icine. Henry grew worse and had from one
to two hard fits a week. iSjiit and vomited
up large quantities ol blood. As I consider
ed Ids case perfectly hopeless for a time, l
had nothing done “for him. Hearing that
you would take patients afflicted with chronic
diseases on conditions, 1 resolved to give
you a trial, and to the astonishment of my
self and many others, in three weeks after
I placed Henry under your treatment, he re
turned home entirely cured of his distiessing
diseases ; he has been well 3 months and
can do as much hard laborious work as lie
ever could. When I sent Henry to you, l
would have taken a mere trifle lor him, now
I consider that he is worth S9OO. Persons
afflicted with such or similar diseases, would
do well to give vou a trial.
Yours &c., WM. FAULK.
N. B. Henry is still well, 22 Sept. 1851.
Mr. Faulk is a gentleman of unimpeach
able character, what lie asserts may be re
lied upon and can be sustained by a number
of respectable witnesses.

Dr. Rowland, Sir: the perscription l
got of you last year for my son that was ef
fected with Dropsy (12 months), entirely
cured him. Before I applied to you every
thing that could be devised failed to benefit
him.
