ANOTHER SCIENTIFIC WONDER!
Great cute Jor
Dyspepsia]
Dr. J. Houghton's PEPSIN, the true
Digestive Fluid, or day trie Juice,
prepared from KEN NET, or
the fourth Stomach of the
Ox, after directions
oj Baron Lit big,
the great
Physiological Chemist
by J. S Houghton, Af. £). Philadelphia.
Thi i* truly a wondrfal remedy fur Indigestion, dy
pepeia, jaundice, liver complinm constipation. and do-’
hility, curing after nature’* own method, by nature* own
agent, the ‘.astrio Juice. Half a te&spoonful of
Pepsin, infutieil in tva’er, will digest or dissolve live ponds
of roast beef in about Iwo iu'um, out of the stomach.
JVpein is the chief element or great digestive princi
ple of the Gastric juice—the solvent of tne food, the
purifyitu, preserving, and stimulating agent of the stom
ach ana intestines, it is extracted from the digestive
stomach of the Or. thus forming an artificial digestive
fluid, precisely like the natural goslic juice in its chemi
cal powers, and furnishing a complete and perfect substi
tute for it. By the aid of this preparation the pains and
evil* of indigestion and dyspepsia are removed, just a*
they would be bya healthy stomach. It is doing wonder*
fbrdyspeptics, curing cases of dehility, emaciation, ner
vous decline and dyspeptic consumption, supt* sed to be
on the verge of the grave. The scientilie upon which it if
based, is in the highest degree curious and ramarkable.
SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.
Baron Liehig, in his celebrated work on animal Chem
istry. sajts; ‘An artificial digestive fluid analogous to tne
mstic. juice, may be readily prepared from the mucous
membrane of the stomach of the calf in which various ar
ticles of food, as meat and eggs will be softened, changed
and digested, just in the some manner as they would be
in the human stomach.’
Kr Cal! on the agent, and get a descriptive circular,
gratis, giving a large amount iif scientific evidence, sim
ilar to the above, together with reports of remarkable
cures, from all parr* of the Uni ed Mates.
AS A DYSPESPIA CURKR
Dr. flughtun's Pepsin hits produced the most marvel lou*-
effeciH, in curing caea of debility, emaciation, nervous
decline, and dvnpeptic consumption. It i* impossible to
give the details oi’ cases in th limits of this adv rtise
raent; but authenticated circum-ta’ces have been given
of more than two hundred remarkable cnrew. in Phila lei*
phia, .New York and Boston alone. These Were mar
ly all desperate • a-e*, and the cures were not only rapid
and wonderful, but permanent.
It is a great nervous antidote, and particularly useful
for tendency to riillious du ordur, liver complaint, lever
and ague or badly treated lever and ague, and the e*i!
effects of Quinine, men ury and otffsr diu*t upon five di
fOMirve organs, after a long ricknew. Al*o, forexcoHß of
eating, and the too free one of ardent spirits. It ulnurt
reconciles health with intemperance.
Dr. Houghtons Fejwin is prepared in powderand in fluid
rom—and in perscription vials for the use of Physicians.
Private circulars fur the u> of Physicians, may be
obtained of Ur. Houghton or his Agents, describing
the whole process of preparation, and giving the authori
ties upon which the claiuies of this new remedy are bas
ed. As it i* not a secret remedy, no objection can be
raised agan st its use by Physicians in respectable stand*
ing and regular practice. Price, One Dollar )*r bottle.

Mr R E Sellers—Dear sir: Your Vermifuge produces
