In this preparation we linve nil the restorative properties

it is in the peculiar combination and scientific manure
ofils preparation, that its remarkable success in the oner
of disease depends. It acts simultaneously upon the
stomach, the circulation and the bowels; and tints three

through tin- instrumentality of this one remedial agent,
which gently stimulates while it disinfects and exis-ls

at the same time restores their vigorand tone. Its great
merit is, that it meets and neutralizes the actve principle

necessarily disappear; and we have only to point tothe
account luted testimony of multitudes who e.t|H-rienced
its cfleets, to convince incredulity itselfufits real value.

ANOTHER SCIENTIFIC WONDER!
Great cute for

Vr. J. Houghton's PEPSIN, the true
Digestive Fluid, or Gastric Juice,
prepared from RENNET, or
the fourth Stomach of the
Ox, after directions
oj Baron Liebig,
the great
Physiological Chemist
by J. S. Houghton, M. D. Philadelphia.
This is truly a wondrful remedy for Indigestion, dys
pepsia, jaundice, liver complaint, constipation, and de
bility, ctiringafler nature’sown method, by natures own
aeeiit, the <astric Juice. {Er Half a teaspoonful of
IY|sin, infused in water, willdigestor dissolve five pouds
of roast beef in about two hours, out of the stomach.
Pepain is the. chief element or great digestive princi
ple of the Gastric juice—the solvent ol the food, the
purifying, preserving, and stimulating agent of the stom
ach and intestines. It is extracted from the digestive
stomach of the Ox, thus forming an artificial digestive
fluid, precisely like the natural gaslic juice in iLs chemi
cal |N)wers, and furnishing a complete and jicrfect substi
tute for it. By the aid of this preparation the pains and
evils of indigestion and dyspepsia are removed, just as
they would he hy a healthy stomach, h is doing wonders
for dyspeptics, curing eases of debility, emaciation, ner
vous decline and dyspeptic consumption, supposed to be
on the verge of the grave. The scientific upon which it is
bused, is in the highest degree curious and remarkable.
SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.
Baron Liebig, in his celebrated work on animal Chem
istry, saym *Ao artificial digestive fluid analogous to the
gastie juice, may he readily prepared from Lite mucous
membrane ofthe stomach of the calf in which various ar?
ticb*s of food, as in at and eggs will be softened, changed
and digested, just in the some manner os they would be
in the human stomach.*
Call on the agent, and get a descriptive circular,
gratis, giving a large amount of scientific evidence, sim
ilar to the above, together with reporta of remarkable
cures, from all parts of the I'nilcd States.
AS A DYSPESPIA CURER
Dr. I login oil's Pepsin has produced the most marvellous
effect*. in curing cases of debility, emaciation, nervous
decline, and dvspeplic consumption. It is impossible to
give the details of cases in the limits oT this advertise
ment; but authenticated circmnvlancesMve been given
of morotlian two lino•!•. markable cures, in IMiiladel
pliia. New Yoik and Boston alone. These were near
ly all desjwrate cases, and the cures were not only rapid
and wonderful, bill }>criuaneiit.
It is a great nervous antidote, and particularly useful
for tendency to Billions disorder, liver Complaint, fever
and ague or badly treated fever aad ague, and the evil
eflecls of quinine, men ury and other drugs upon the di
gestive-organs. after a long sickness. Also, forexeess of
eating, and the too free use of ardent spirits. It almost
reconciles health with intemperance.
Dr. Houghton's Pepsin is prepared in powder and in fluid
rom—and in perscriptien \ ials for the use of Physicians.
Private circulars for the use of Physicians, may be
obtained of Dr. Houghton or his Agents, describing
ihe \\ little process of preparation, and giving the authori

R. E. SELLERS’ VERMIFUGE.
This Worm Medicine has nosuperior—
if an equal—in this or any other coun
try. It is much used and highly re
commended by Physicians.
WORMS frequently infest children, ag
gravate all other diseases, and are
capable of producing great disturbances in the system,
and, consequently all medicines given to remove them
should be prepared with great care, and of the best ma
terials ; and it is to be feared that many of the worm
medicines in use are totally destitute of these qualities.
The Vermifuge which the subscriber offers to the publi
s prepared of the best materials that can be procured,
THETRUTH BYMEN OFTROTH.
Concerning Sellers’ Vermifuge A single vial producing
Wonders. Retul the following from the Hev. S. iVake
fietd. Pastor of the Liberty street Afethodist Episcopal
church: „
Pittsburgh, March 8,1847.
Mr. R. E. Sellers, —It is from a sense of duty, as well
os with great pleasure, that 1 bear testimony to the vir
tueofyour justly celebrated Vermifuge. 1 procured a
single bottle and gave ittothreeof mv children, who
had been ill for several weeks. The oldest was seven
years old, the next four, and the youngest eighteen
months. The first passed fifty-six worms, the second
lorty-seven, and the third a considerable number not
distinctly recollected. Since then they have been do
ing well, and are now in good health.
Yours, respectfully, S WAKEFIELD.
Greenville, Va, January 15,1815.
Mr. R. E, Sellere, —Your Vermifuge gives universal
satisfaction. I have sold Fahnestock's, M Lane’s and
others, but none has given the satisfaction that yours has.
B. F. GRAHAM, Post Master.
Sellers’ Vermifuge—it works, wonders
every where.
Big Sandy, Ky. May 12, 1848.
Mr R E Sellers—Dear sir; Yilnr Vermifuge produces
such wonderful results, that / think it worth while to
j give you a few facts about it; A neighbor, Dr Gray,
1 bought from me one vial of it, and gave the contents to
three of his children; the first passed 180, the second
153, and the third 70, making 403 worms discharged
by using one vial. l Gray immediately bought four
vials more. r. J M’Slmrley also gave the contents
of one vial to three of his children, which brought
from the first 73, from the second 54, and from the third
30, making 156 worms bv the use of one vial. I gave
my ow n child, aged one year, two teaspoonfuls, which
expelled 14, one of which was at least one foot long.—
Your Vermifuge is considered the best that has evet
been brought to our section of country, and so far as I
know, has never failed.
Yours, respectfully, J L TRUMAN.

Sellers’ Vermifuge is the best in use. —
Here is proof.
Licking Station. Ky, Dec. 17, 1845.
Mr R E Sellers,— l have the pleasuie to inform you
that I have used in my practice your celebrated Vermi
fuge with the most happy results. I have formerly used
Fahnestock’s, but being Persuaded to try yours, I have
found it far supperior in every respect, and can say with
out the fear of contradiction, that your Vermifuge f>os
sesses more virtue than any 1 ever used, and most cor
dially recommend it to the attention of the public,
will state a case wherefl gave one vial of your Vermi
fuge. My brother’s child was pining and wasting to
mere skeleton. In 30 hours after I gave the Vermifuge
the enormous quantity of upwards of sir hundred worm
were •passed- The child that was given up for lost, is
now as well as any in the neighborhood.

R H WILSON, M. D.
Point Plkan*akt, Va, Oct. 4,1847.
Mr. B, E Sellers, —Os your Vermifuge, I cag say

Mr. R E Sellers, —1 think it right, for tils benefit of

1 have used your Vermifuge largely in my own family,
one vial frequently answering for expelling large quan

have also used your Liver Fills and Cough Syrup in my

effect desired.
As I am engaged in merchandising. I am able to state
that I have yet to hear of the first failure v\ here your
