DANGEROUS COMBINATION
5 j NEW YORK, July 10 (TP)—Here's
j something else that does not mix with
> alcohol. A Brooklyn hospital author
-1 lty, Dr. Pahst, says that alcohol and
sunshine are a very dangerous combi

state liquor authority, warning vaca
tioners against drinking strong liquor
i while exposed to the sun.
Expert opinion seems to agree that
drinking before strenuous exertion
under the burning rays of old Sol

CANADA TO SEE
GREEN PASTURES
TORONTO, July 10 (TP)—Ontario
audiences are going to get a chance
to see the film version of the play
‘•'Green Pastures” after all. Premier
Hepburn announced that the censor

proved the picture.
Censors banned the film a few
weeks ago on the ground that the ne
gro folk tale of Biblical times was
sacrilegious. The ban raised a storm
of protest throughout Canada and the
United States and Premier Hepburn
asked the censorship appeals board
to consider the matter.

Diagram of annexed territory
With the annexation of a strip of land in the heart of the Rockies |
at formal flag-raising ceremonies August 8, the United States
acquires territory over which the (American flag was never hoisted
officially. The section, shown in this map, is comprised of Grand
and Summit counties in Colorado, and includes the mining towns
of Breckenridge, Hot Sulphur Springs and Kremmling. Overlooked
in the Louisiana purchase, when the United States acquired Colorado
and adjacent states from Spain, the. area was never formally taken
over by the federal government
the outlaws were traced to a dairj
farm. Several sharpshooting farmer*
in the posse poured lead into thi
bandits after the fugitives refused tq
surrender.
The gunmen held up the bank yea
terday and kidnaped the cashier,
Hugh Scott, as a hostage. They re
leased Scott a few miles from Bethany
and scurried across cornfields in a
futile bid for freedom. More than
100 men chased the outlaws. Officers
finally trapped the pair on a dairy
farm and dealt with straght shoot
ing rifles. Neither of the slain men
was identified.
