I sure feel asliame of my self for neglecting my paper so long and am certainly going to try to do better this year. My (.pare moments are precious those days so I will not promise a letter every week, but will do the best I can. First of all lot me thank the kink Editor for the Delineator which I appreciate so much. I really feel like 1 don’t deserve it. “The Lord loveth the cheerful giver.” And Xmas is over and it seems everybody had a good time. As for myself I had a very enjoyable time, Hard ns the times are old Santa Claus was very liberal. Miss Mary Young one of the teachers of the high school at. Ce- diirtown, On,, and Miss Emily one of the scholars' spent the holi days with home folks at this place. Misses Agnes and Sumter Har ris Mr Waldo Harris Jr. and Mr. B‘d> Shank all of Wilkes eoun'y spent a few days wit h relit l ives and friends" at this place, during the holidays. Miss Varina Farr was the guest of Mil's Lullie Hunt a few days Xmas. Mr. Foster Young Jr. and sis 1 ' Miss Iruno spent XmasAvith h</ folks here. Mr. E. N v Booghar of Atlanta is the guest of Mr. 'Jib Id, Young's family for a few days. Mias Annie Hunt lias returned home from ft pleasant visit in Wrightsboro. We wish her much suc cess. '•/ Miss Marie Wilkerson one of our most charming young Indies, who has charge of the Macedonia school for the, present term spent several days at home Xmas. Mr. John Henry Hunt and sis ters Misses Lollie and Emmie at tended services at Pino Grove Sunday. Mr Claude Story was a vis.tor in our town Sunday night. Mr., and Mrs, Jim Russefl spent Sunday with relatives in Thom son. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Hunt cf Wrightsboro were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Reese Sunday last. The Messrs. Noris of Pine Grove worq guests of the Misses Hunt Sunday night. We all sympathize with Mr. R. J. Young in his misfortune of los ing a ho 1 se and a mule last week and has another horse down now, which they have very little hopes of. Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Wilkerson arid little daughter Nell left Sun day last for a few days stay in Au gusta. Mr. Tom Morris of Thomson has charge of Mr. A, 13. \\ ilkerson's business while he is away. A traveler passing through the Broad Top Mountain district in northern Bed ford (.‘onnty, Pennsylvania, fast sum mer, came across a lad of sixteen culti vating a patch of miserable potatoes. He remarked upon their unpromising appearance and expressed pity for any one that had to dig a living out of such soil. The marriage Goolsby and Mr. Aquila Parker which occurred iu Bothesda church Sundav afternoon at 0 o’clock was a quiet, but beautiful one. The church was beautifully decorated in Southern Smilay, Asparagus, Ferns nod Cut Flowers. The bridal party catered to the strains or Mendoloshons wedding march beautifully rendered by Miss Pearl Cawley. First came Miss Jesie Lee Goolsby maid of honor and Mr. Walter Meadows best man, followed by Miss Kula Crockett arid Mr Homer Dob- Inns, next came the bride on tne arm of t he groom. The ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. J. W. Jarett of Augusta. Tito bride was never more beautiful than on this happy occasion. She was beautifully attired in white silk voil, trimmed in white satin and lace with hat and gloves to match Miss Gools by lias by her charming manner and lovely d isposition won many friends. She is one of Harlem’s most popular young ladies. Mr. Parker is a popular young business man of Augusta. Ifr is a man of sterling qualities, and is in every way worthy of the, help- male he lias wen. Our loss is Mr. I’arkeis gain. Immediately after tfie ceremony the happy couple left for Augusta, where they will make their future home. Brier Creek Dots BV AXGELINE.
