Increased Driving Comfort
Provided in Buick “Fours”
In adjusting the position of the driving seat, in
lowering the steering column and in bringing the
shift lever and emergency brake within the easiest
possible reach of the driver’s hand, Buick has pro
vided additional comfort and satisfaction in the new
four-cylinder models. Ease of handling is also an
outstanding feature of the new Buick “four”. In
heavy traffic the abundant power of the famous
valve-in-head engine and the quickness with which
the car responds to every control enable it to glide in
and out of traffic with the utmost facility, while Buick
four-wheel brakes assure perfect braking and safety
under all conditions. „

Various Kinds of Ice.
Experiments have sliowu that water
ean be made to solidify Into five dif
ferent kinds of Ice, each of which at
certain temperatures and pressures
changes from one Into another with
explosive violence. One kind, “lce-2,"
requires a very low temperature and
great pressure to keep it from explod-
lug Into ordinary ice. Another kind
will stay frozen at summer heat, pro
vided It is kept under a pressure of
20,000 atmospheres. In nature such
great pressures exist only in company
with very high temperatures, and it Is,
entirely possible that some of these
kinds of ice never existed until they
were created In the experimenters' hy
draulic press.
