Miss Wilson Entertains.
In compliment to quite a num¬
ber of young people who attend¬
ed the contest here last Friday.
Miss Ruth Wilson, assisted by
her sister, Miss Zula Wilson, en¬
tertained very delightfully in the
evening at her home on Scott
street.
The parlors and spacious ve¬
randahs were brilliantly lighted
and prettily decorated for the
occasion and many games and
social chats were engaged in.
during which time delicious cakes
and cream, were served and many
were the promenades to the
punch bowl which was very con¬
veniently placed on the front
verandah.
The feature of the evening was
a contest in love-letter writing,
each one writing their names on
slips of paper which were passed
around and a love-letter was
written to the one whose name
was drawn. Much fun was had
when the sweet missives were
read and several immediately
afterward denied blushing. The
successful contestant for the
I(adiy r 9 prize was Miss Caro Twitty
of Pelham, who received a box
off fine chocolates, and the gentle¬
man's prize, a handsome tie, was*
awarded Mr. Aubrey Allen.
