We are sorry to learn of the
death of Old Colonel Bush. While
we did not know him, we have
known of him a long time. We
know him to be the father of Col,
Bush of Camilla, of whom wo all
think a great deal, and sym¬
pathize with him, hoping that
God will help him to bear his
troubles. Just three weeks ago 1
passed through Miller county and
saw the old gentleman standing
on his porch. So many of our
old friends are passing away.

Preaching at the Baptist Church.
The Enterprise is requested
to announce that there will be
preaching at, the Baptist church
in Camilla, by Dr. W. L. Curry,
of Pelham, as temporary supply,
at 11 o’clock a. m. and 8 o’clock p.
in- on the 1st and 3rd Sundays in
each month. Everybody is cor¬
dially invited to attend.
Third notice.” Every editor
has received them. The postof¬
fice sending them to him is not to
blame. For instance, there is a
man by the name of—well, say
Tim Short—who sent us three
notices to stop his paper. He
did not want it any longer. We
wondered what was the matter.
Upon investigating our subscri,'
tion book we found that Tim was
short $5 70. He had never paid
a cent and yet he stopped his pa¬
per as a matter of economy to u».
A few evenings ago we stepped
into church, and his melodious
voice rang out loud and clear in
the soul-stirring song, ,; Jesus
paid it all.” We might have
been mistaken, but his earnest¬
ness impressed us. The next
day we sent him a receipt in full
bogging his pardon for not know¬
ing that he had made an assign¬
ment of his liabilities to the Lord.
