Death of “Aunt Sue.”
The death of “Aunt Sue” as
she was known to the people of
this town, the latter part of last
week removed a familiar figure
that for years had made her
“runs” in Pelham preserving
thereby first one and then anoth¬
er from ill luck. If the run
Aunt Sue was making lay near
the inner part of the side walk no
one dared go between her and the
building. To do so would have
been to break a “run” that would
have brought disaster upon some
one or some institution that she
was at that time protecting.
This seemed._ to have been the
principal hallucination of her
brain. She was deeply religious
and for years was a familiar fig¬

A Good Argument.
To a teacher who asked the ques¬
tion, “What is dew?” came the
well-reasoned reply: “The earth
revolves on its own axis three
hundred and sixty-five times in
twenty-four hours. This rapid
motion through space causes its
sides to perspire; this is called
dew.”
