An Appeal to Georgia
Carriers.
To the letter carriers .of G-t
gia: John Ploughman said that
none but fools would always he
arguing about something tl.at no
one ever disputed, but in the face
of this fact it seems to be true
that in order to impress certain
things upon the minds of people
it becomes necessary to call at¬
tention to them repeatedly on
some occasions, and hence I hop"
you will pardon me for aluyiys
“butting in” to try to get some¬
body to join the association
Most of us realize the importance
of organization, but many seem
loth to rally to its effrots.
When the ficsal year expired
July 8, 1908, the Georgia Asso¬
ciation of Rural Letter Carriers
had a membership of about 800,
their dues expiring on the above
dates, and you will no doubt be
astounded to learn that the num¬
ber of members now in good
standing is approximately only
150. It’s enough to make us sit
up and take notice. Fellow car¬
riers, there has never been a time
when the association needed your
help more than it does now
Will you come to its assistance,
or will you let its power for good
be lost?
The natiofml convention meets
early in October, and has much
important work outlined, but
they/must have your cooperation
in order to accomplish anything
You lmve chosen representatives
to handle the affairs of Geoigia
on the floor of the convention,
but how would representatives
feel without a constituency?
These are matters that you should

Medicine
The reputation of this old, relia¬
ble medicine, for constipation, in¬
digestion and liver trouble, is firm¬
ly established. It does not imitate
other medicines. It is better than
others, or it would not be the fa¬
vorite liver powder, with a larger
sale than all others combined.
