It baa bepti H:iid that in any I/c%-

the latter. Tiio/louse of Rcpiofit'ti*
lat tes of tho.General Assembly of
Georgia contains eighty-eight .far
mers. It also contains a number of
lawyers, some of whom are skilled in ;
legislation und parliamentary laws.
During the last session repeated ef
forts wore made by the lawyer mem
bers to control tho farmer membors,
blit with poor success. This was
i■><:<:tally true where the appropria
tions of money was contemplated.
The lawyer members would argue
with all the force thoir peculiar train-
;u« mu'lu jKissible, and the farmer
members would listen with admira
ble patience, but as a rule, the lat
ter would note solidly against any
schema w hich required the use of the
Stale’s money. In this way the ap
pointment of several committees,
thought to bo important, was pre
vented, it being proposed chat they
should kiL during tho recess, and, of
course, that thoir expenses should be
P'»id by the .State. Perhaps the far
mer members wore right, for thoscs-
I'ions of tho Uonorul Assembly aro
long enough to allow all important
legislation to ropeivo proper atten

jOarn moots from Friday until Mon
day are frequent. Business, there
fore, progresses slowly. When the
fund adjournment is noar thoro is
haste which docs not hurry legisla
tion, but which merely results in
further wasto of time. During the
last days of the last session a great
deal of time was consumed by mom
bora who vainly songhtto havo their
favorite measures acted upon out of
thoir rogulur ordor. In ono instanco
an entire day was thus wustod.
It iB tho custom of both houses of
tho General Assoj/ybJy to moot at 10
o’clock and ftdjouru at 1 o’clook. If
from tho vory first day of the ses
sious, they should meet at 0 o’clock
and adjourn at 12, and them meet
again at 2 ami adjoum ftt 4, no time
won 111 be wasted and all important
measures would receive attontion.
This plan would leave ample time
for oommibloo meetings, bccauso it
was proven during tjho last
time uvea when tho two houses mot
morning, afternoon, and night, tho
oommittoos did not laok time to
properly consider the business before
thorn.
^ Tho reform indicated is needed,

TO LIVE AND LET LIVE IS MY CEEED!
Greenville, Fla.. June , 888.
Dr. Whitehead:
In the year 1878 I was attacked with
8cvero ease of Blood Poison that defied
all treatment. I went to several physi
dans but found no relief. Finally I went
before a board of physicians at Tallab
nnd was examined, and my case was de
clared to be a virulent cose of Blood Poi
son, and all the medicines they gave me
failed to eradicate the dreadful dl
and my life was in danger. I lost the use
of my left arm, and a physician at this
place aaid my arm would have to be ampu
tated. The corruption that came from
the various sores wat so offensive that I
disliked to come in contact with iny friends
and neighbors. I took thirty-two bottles
of an Atlanta Blood Purifier, also a lot
mado in Baltimore, and in fact everything
that I could hear of, but reccivec no bene
fit. I had entirely despaired when your
General Agent, Mr. Clarkson, came hero
advertising P. P. P. (Prickly Ash Poke
Hoot and Potassium) and induced me
give it a trial. I got one large bottle
took it, and one and a half small ones, ant
tha various sores bavs healed entirely and
the now skiu has a clear, healthy color.
d my general health is better than it has
been before in ten years. I consider
the grandest blood medicine of the age,
