The first Pannel have taken under consideration ! the condition of the Jail, the Books of the Clerks, of the different Courts, and reported accordingly. Mr. John W. W c also allow the further sunt of forty-four dollars and > thirty-seven cents in a hill of error committed by the i Tax Receiver, and give our certificate in Itis favor to the Comptroller of the State, in cctnplian ce with the law made and provided for iu such cases. We earnestly appeal to the next Legislature tore-! lien- us from the onerous duty retired of us as j Grand Jurors under the law exempting firemen and mouthers of the different Military Corps from said du- ! ty, falling,as it does iu this county, upon comparative- ; !y few citizens. | We also beg leave to suggest to the city authori ties the propriety of erecting a Guard House, apart j from the Court House, this Jury having noticed that j | t Ire safety of the Court House is now greatly endan gered by fire in consequence of tire combustibles now , iu snd about the room used for such purposes.
