Robert K. bee at the \yashington-hee l Diversity, one-fourth of which amount lias been raised by the Lee Memorial Associa tion. Killeen thousand dollars a-e yet required to complete the memorial. Tim army of Northern Virginia have taken the matter into consideration, and suggest that meetings be held all over the South on the 20th ot January, 187.3, the birth day of Gen. Lee, to lake such measures as may be devised for collecting money to com plete the memorial to the honored dead- ♦- Another Dim-.-The Augusta papers of yesterday give an account of another duel at Sand Bar Ferry, a spot fast becoming as celebrated as the Bladensbing and Hoboken grounds were in past days. The contestants on this occasion were hoih of South Carolina—Mr. James T. Heyward, editor of the Orange burg Times (Democratic), and Mr. Malcolm J. Browning, editor ot the Orangeburg News, (Radical), Strange to say tbe quarrel ot these two h jtspurs came out of a dispute about the Boston tire. The parties met at the Sami Bat on Monday morning with pistols, seconds, surgeons and a number of spectators. Two rounds were fired without effect; the friends were then privileged, according to the code, to Y> v \iv2 about a settlement, but the principals were stubborn ; the near est they could come to this desirable e„d was this : the two principals ad vanced three paces, saluted without speak'mg, and retired from the field. Victoria and Teunie were brought from their voluntary con finement before United States Com missioner Shields, and were released on giving bail in S3, 000 each to ap pear before the U. S.
