■""A geftbus accident from the bursting of a
kerosene lamp occurred last evening about
seven o’clock, in the restaurant Xo ltf.base
meut of tlie market, occupied by Mrs 0
Wechster. It seems AI ss Annie Wecbsler,
the daughter of the propriuu'oss was light
ing a lamp pending from the ceiling, when
the lamp fell with a crash, broke to pieces,
and tlie blazing fluid rescued the young
lady s garments. She rushed toward the
door, but was Sieznd by her mother and
father, who soon extinguished the flames
about her person. Mrs. W.’s arms and
hands were badly burned. The suflhrers
were removed to their residence, corner of
Bryan and Montgomery streets, where they
received the professional attention of Dr.
W. M. Walslir Annie's life was, beyond a
I
doubt, saved by her brave mother.
