CAST FOR MUSICAL
“Menopause The Musical” features a cast of actresses all returning from the original Atlanta pro
duction with Gainesville's Ingrid Cole as Earth Mother, Atlanta's Mary Kathryn Kaye (Suzi Bass
Award nominee for Respect) as Iowa Housewife, Scottdale's Valerie Payton (Suzi Bass Award
nominee for Romeo & Juliet) as Professional Woman, and Jonesboro's Lynna Schmidt as Soap
Star.
'Menopause The Musical' extends run through May 11
After a second successful run at the
14 th Street Playhouse, “Menopause
The Musical” is doing a one-time
season extension in Atlanta for the
show to continue through May 11.
This musical rendition of “the
change” has been entertaining and
educating women from coast-to-
coast for more than five years. From
the work of writer Jeanie Linders, the
musical is a 90-minute production,
which includes re-lyricized tunes
from the 60’s and 70’s.
Billed as “The Hilarious
Celebration of Women and The
Change,” the show begins with four
women at a Bloomingdale’s lingerie
sale with nothing in common but a
black lace bra - so it seems. Turns
out, the “Professional Woman,” the
“Soap Star,” the “Iowa Housewife”
and the “Earth Mother” also share
hot flashes, night sweats, memory
loss, chocolate binges and day-to
day challenges with aging parents,
aging children and aging partners.
“We are thrilled by the reception
from Atlanta and are always excited
for the opportunity to continue enter
taining and educating our audiences,”
says producer Kathi Glist.

barber driven to a life of crime after
a malevolent judge takes his wife and

revenge includes a cutthroat partner
ship with Mrs. Lovett—an enterpris

producing the tastiest meat pies in
London.
Directed and designed by John
Doyle, who won the 2006 Tony,
Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle
Awards for this production, “Sweeney

ics by Stephen Sondheim, book by

team also includes lighting designer
Richard Jones, and sound designer
Dan Moses Schreier.
Doyle’s production of “Sweeney
Todd” opened on Broadway in 2005
to universal critical acclaim where it
won the Drama League, Drama Desk
and Outer Critics Circle Awards for
Best Revival of a Musical, and was
awarded a Special Citation by the
New York Drama Critics Circle. It
arrived on Broadway from a highly
successful London engagement origi
nally staged by the Watermill Theatre,
which transferred first to the Trafalgar
Studios in London’s West End in July
2004 to wide critical acclaim, then to
the New Ambassadors Theatre where
it ran for a limited engagement that
closed on February 5, 2005.

Reaching thousands of children.
Focusing on one overriding goal.
Teaching respect for our environment.
The NEW Waste Management.
Because today’s children are tomorrow’s leaders, we go out of
our way to help them develop a genuine respect for the
environment we all share. That’s why the NEW Waste
Management provides videos, CDs and other teaching tools to
help students of all ages understand how environmental
awareness is at the heart of what we do every day.
We show them how state-of-the-art engineering techniques help
us safely maintain and restore landfills into usable green
spaces. How we use advanced optical sorting technologies to
efficiently recycle plastics and glass. And how we transform
common waste products into uncommonly clean energy that
powers homes and businesses.
We partner with communities all across North America to
educate students about our environment and the steps we are
taking to safeguard it for generations to come. It’s another way
we’re making a difference. One community at a time.
From everyday collection to environmental protection, look to
the NEW Waste Management.
