Sheriff's office reports 24 arrests
T he Banks County Sheriff’s
Office reported 24 arrests
during the past week
including the following:

tions and DUI (alcohol).

ing without a license and seat belt
violation.

or drugs and possession of mari
juana (less than one ounce).

The Banks County Sheriff’s Office responded to several domestic-related
incidents during the past week including the following:
•phone harassment at a Hidden Valley Drive residence.
•stalking and harassment at an Eisenhower Drive, Commerce, address.
•assisted a woman in picking up belongings from a Stoney Creek Road,
Lula, residence.
•phone harassment at a Hwy. 441 address.
•harassment at a Hickory Flat Road, Gillsville, residence.
•dispute at a Hickory Flat Road, Gillsville, residence.
•dispute at a Wynn Lake Road, Alto, residence.
•dispute at a Chatham Road, Homer, residence.
•assisted a woman in picking up belongings at an East Ridgeway Road,
Commerce, residence.
•suicide threats at a Chambers Street, Homer, residence.
•battery and cruelty to children at an East Ridgeway Road residence.
•welfare check at a Duncan Road, Commerce, residence.

Incidents
Cooper stolen from Alto residence
A homeowner reported a theft of cooper from his resi
dence on Winds Drive in Alto last week.
According to a Banks County Sheriff’s Office report,
the resident said the cooper coils were taken from two
air conditioner units behind his residence. The man said
a neighbor has noticed a car pull into the driveway the
previous day but could not give a description.
The BCSO also responded to the following incidents
during the past week:
•damage to mailbox at a Carson Segars Road resi
dence.
•alarm at Banks County High School which proved to
be false.
•dispute at Murphy USA concerning which customer
arrived at the gas pump first.
•animal theft at a Duncan Road, Commerce, resi
dence.
•entering an auto at a Cedar Ridge Drive, Commerce,
residence.
•theft at a Barrett Road, Alto, residence.
•alarm at a Historic Homer Highway business which
proved to be false.
•theft at Home Depot.
•alarm at an East Ridgeway Road address which
appeared to be false.
•burglary at a Wynn Lake Road, Baldwin, residence.
•911 hang-up from a Hummingbird Lane, Lula, resi-
dence.
•prowler at a Payne Road, Homer, residence.
•animal theft at a Hwy. 51 South residence.
•disturbance at a Sunset Drive residence.
•removal of person from a Lord Road, Commerce,
residence.
•gas drive-off from Homer Golden Pantry.
•suspicious person at a Hwy. 441 South address.
•damage to property at a McDonald Circle, Commerce,
residence.
