Fathers honored at Silver Shoals Baptist Church Sunday
Fathers were honored at Silver
Shoals Baptist Church on Sunday
morning. Each child presented their
father with a white rose. Sadie
Parson read a poem she had writ
ten in honor of her father, Bradley
Parson, grandfather, Hoyt Parson,
and God. The youngest father
present was Michael Pace; oldest
father Jerry Gaddis; and father with
the most children in church Mike
Boyle.
Roger Michael Pace III visited
with his father, Michael Pace, over
the weekend.
Diane Whitmire visited with the
Tonya and Lee Parson family over
the weekend. Diane is living in
Cornelia.
It’s great to report that Cidney
Wilson is doing great and has no
more cancer treatments. Still needs
our prayers to regain her weight and
strength. Thank God, no more treat
ments. Within the next three weeks,
she will possibly be having surgery
to stretch her esophagus. The prob
lem is scar tissue has caused there
to be a narrow opening. Thanks
to everyone who is praying for this
brave little girl.
With vacation time coming up,
don’t forget to have the sheriff’s
office put an
extra patrol
on your home.
This is the time
for people to
break into your
homes. Call
your local 911
office and the sheriff’s office for this
service. Also, with good neighbor
hood watch, we can control crime.
If something does not look right
at the neighbor’s home, call for
help. Don’t try to handle it yourself.
Better to have helped your neighbor,
than just to turn your head.
