Local community saddened by death of Jerry Carlan
The community was saddened on
Sunday morning to hear of the death
of Jerry Carlan. He will be gready
missed by his wife, June, brother, sis
ters, nieces, nephews. Masonic broth
ers at Phil-Delta 148 in Homer and a
host of other friends and family. Our
prayers are with his family and all
who will greatly miss him. Jerry was
a great part of our community and just
a great friend to all.
The Mike Boyle family was visited
this week by Shirley Boyle. Shirley,
along with Lois and Sheryl Ledford,
are visiting family members and
friends in Georgia for a few weeks.
The Mike Boyle family, along with
Dillon Cantrell, all returned home on
Sunday after a week trip to Cocoa
Beach, Florida. While there, Mike
attended his 20-year class reunion
celebration at the Hilton on the beach.
We enjoyed staying at the Ron Jon
Resort, and seeing many friends in
the area.
Christopher Crump, Caleb Meeks,
and Katlin Parks were baptized on
Sunday, June 23, at the home of Jan
and Steve Parks. They were received
back at Silver Shoals Baptist church
for Sunday evening services. We are
very proud of these young adults.
