Revival services to
be held in August
Mountain View Baptist Church,
Baldwin, will hold revival services
Sunday through Wednesday, August
24-27.
The Sunday service will begin at
6 p.m. while the Monday through
Wednesday services will start at 7
p.m.
The following preachers will
speak: Sunday, Donnie Balenger;
Monday, Tommy Seay; Tuesday,
Scott Slaton and Wednesday, Grady
Carpenter.

for the feast day of the Solemnity of
the Assumption of the Blessed Mary
Friday, August 15, at 5:30 p.m.

gious education registration for all
students Wednesday, August 20,
from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Registration fees will be $10 per
child or $25 for three or more sib
lings.
Parents are encouraged to attend
this registration to meet the teachers
and receive the yearly calendar of

The First Baptist Church,
Commerce, will have its clothes
closet open Saturday, August 16,
from 8 to 11 a.m.
All warm weather clothes will be
cleared out.

host August events
Blacks Creek Baptist Church,
Commerce, will hold homecoming
services Sunday, August 17.
Sunday school will begin at 9:45
a.m. and homecoming activities will
begin at 10:30 a.m. in the church
auditorium.

provide music.

sage, events and a dinner. Every
evening will conclude with a mes
sage.

Madison Street Baptist Church,
Commerce, will hold a one-day
revival Sunday, August 17.
Guest preacher, Dr. John Bryan,
will speak at both the 11 a.m. and
6 p.m. services.
Dr. Bryan, bom in Atlanta,
received his doctorate from
Columbia Theological Seminary
in Decatur in 1990. He has
served as the senior pastor for
several churches including Curtis
Baptist Church, Augusta and
Mount Vernon Baptist Church,
Atlanta. Dr. Bryan serves as a
specialist with the Georgia Baptist
Convention in advancement and
endowment ministries for the
cooperative program.
