Ladies help
storm victims
The women of Commerce
First United Methodist Church
will help recent storm victims
by preparing Sager Brown
kits.
The community is invited to
join in this project.
The finished kits will be
taken to the District Annual
Meeting on Sunday, Oct. 12,
for further distribution.
The finished kits can be
turned into the church office,
located at 54 Cherry Street.

Apple Valley Baptist

ity booths, a chili and hotdog
supper and singing with “Di
vine 3.”
Sunday, October 5, old fash
ion Sunday with Sunday school
from 10-11 a.m. and worship
service from 11 a.m. to 12
noon. Dress in old time clothes
and have a picture made.

Homecoming
and revival set
Berea Baptist Church,
Commerce, will hold its home
coming Sunday, October 12, at
11 a.m.
The guest speaker will be
Dr. G. Earl Beatty, president of
Holmes Bible College.
A meal will be served imme
diately following the service at
the church's community cen
ter; everyone is asked to bring
a dish.
A “Mission Fair” will also
be held during lunch, which
will include information on
“Operation Christmas Child,”
“Truck Stop Ministry,” “South
ern Baptist Ministries” and
“Hope Resources.”
Also, the church will hold
its “Fall Revival” Monday
through Thursday, October 13
-16. There will be a different
mission speaker nightly.
