Flag football fundraiser planned
Mark your calendars for the
fourth annual flag football fund
raiser to be held on Dec. 5 at the
Banks County High School foot
ball field. Gates will open at 6:30
p.m. and kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
There will be homemade cakes
at a silent cake auction. Raffle
tickets will be given for each do
nation for a prize giveaway. All
proceeds will be divided between
the families of Deputy David
Dunson and Fire fighter Henry
Galloway. Come out for some
clean fun and help two deserv
ing families. These two men have
helped many families throughout
their combined years of public
service. You can make your do
nations at the gate or the conces
sion stand. God bless them and
hope to see you there.

Banks County men recognized
Clifton Amos & the staff of
Amos & Company, CPAs has
announced the merger of Tyler
Maney, CPA and Mark Payne,
CPA, into the firm. As of Jan. 1,
the new firm name will be Amos,
Maney & Payne, LLC.
Tyler is a native and lifelong
resident of Banks County and the
son of Larry and Jane Maney of
Baldwin. He is married to Tasha
Underwood Maney, daughter of
Delmar and Janis Underwood of
Cornelia. Tyler and Tasha wel
comed their first child, Tyson Eli,
on July 15,2008.
Tyler graduated from the Uni
versity of Georgia with a BBA in
Accounting and a Master of Ac
countancy. He is experienced in
auditing of manufacturing com
panies, construction contractors,
and non-profit organizations, as
well as, tax preparation for cor
porations, partnerships and indi
viduals. In his spare time, Tyler
enjoys spending time with his
family, playing golf, and hunt
ing.
Mark Payne is originally from
Gaffney, South Carolina, and
graduated from Limestone Col
lege with a BS in Accounting.
Mark and his wife, Becky, moved
to Banks County in 2000. They
have a two year old daughter,
Caroline. Becky teaches English
at Banks County Middle School.
Mark is experienced in ac
counting, tax and advisory ser
vices for corporations, partner
ships and individuals. Mark will
bring his client base from North
Georgia Accounting and Tax,
LLC. He is a deacon at Gillsville
Baptist Church, a member of
Georgia Society of CPAs, Amer
ican Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, Banks County
Chamber of Commerce and the
Habersham County Chamber of
Commerce. Mark enjoys play

time with his family.
