‘Tarzan’ play
postponed
Difficult economic times
and the resulting drop in ticket
sales has caused Theater of
the Stars to indefinitely post
pone its planned production of
“Tarzan” which was originally
scheduled to play the Fox The
atre from January 16-25.
“Like most performing arts
organizations, the recent eco
nomic turmoil has severely af
fected our ticket sales and as
a result our cash flow,” states
Nick Manos, president of The
ater of the stars. “As much as
we love this show and have the
greatest faith in our creative
team and actors, it is impos
sible for us to continue with
the exciting but intricate and
expensive project at this time.
Therefore, we have decided
to postpone the production in
definitely until economic con
ditions improve sufficiently to
allow the show to be produced
in an appropriate scale and
manner.”
“We sincerely apologize to
all of our subscribers and pa
trons for the inconvenience
that this action has caused,”
adds Christopher B. Manos,
producer of Theater of the
Stars. “We hope that you will
continue to support Theater Of
The Stars and other performing
arts organizations during these
difficult times. The arts are im
portant aspect of the fabric of
every major city.”
Theater Of The Stars sub
scribers are being notified by
mail separately about plans for
replacing the show and how
season tickets monies will be
handled.
Existing single and group
ticket holders to the Atlanta
engagement have two redemp
tions options:
•Return their tickets to the
point of purchase for a refund.
•If they purchased their tick
ets through Ticketmaster with
a credit card, they will auto
matically receive a refund in
the near future.
