Columbus, to last night, had ware
housed 58,162 baloa of cotton, 34 more
than (he whole of last season. We will
very certainly get 2,600 bales more before
September. The factory takings now
amount to 6,«H5 bales. 1,616 mur „ than at
thia date laat year. This ootton, if Bold,
would be worth at least #480,306. When
it bas passed through our factories its
value is trohlcd, and hence is worth $1,
4611,186. Gotten manufactories are the
biggest sort of wholesale houses, and jfj
people are soinetlutes crying for on
the dry goods line.
