Cal W.|r To-nlshl.
Our theatre-goers will not forget Cal

the stage. Cal is a great favorite in Co
lunibuK, anil always draws a good house.
Hie Memphis Appeal, a paper noted foi
its true criticisms, has the following to
say about Cal Wagner and Ids troupe:
"Happy Cal Wagner's minstrels have
come and gone, and with them many s
joyous throng of pleasant momories. De
spite tile Imd weather and rivalry hi other

me him and his merry troupe In our city,
vlmn our citizens will again have an op

ipon the ordinary trouble which we are

Wo do not propose to intrude ourselves

A year or two ago our city fathers had
isplrutlnus to |liave Columbus wear a

mgs from the streets. The reason was
i) .parent, and the law was good, but now

lie hard times are upon us in erruost, and

for the people than to allow them to rais*-

speech was a splendid effort, and is said
to lie the best lie or any young member ol

The Court then took a recess until this

To-day Col. Thornton will speak, follow

A numlxT of witnesses were introduced
