work on this railrgad which is to ex
tend from Macon to Brunswick, by
way of Y\ sycross, is now progressing
rapidly, thirty miles of ths track hav
ing been Did already.
The charter for this road was grant
ed in ISB9. It bas been completed as
far as Asheley. Ga. Tbe president of
the read is Mr. John E. VYadley, son of
the late William Wadley, of the Cen
tral railroad.
