How a Constitutional Convention May Be
Avoided.
l Atlanta. Oct, 81.—l'he house today
concurred in cbe senate bill to appoint
a joint committee for the purpose of
submitting anundments to the state
constitution. The appointment of this
committee was made by Speaker Little
today. The senate committee was ap
pointed Monday by President Howell-
Pbe passing of the bill is regarded as
the liras thing as a constitutional
oinvention and the greatest importance
-a attached to it. The committee will
met at once and begin work. Many
important ohangee may be made in the
state constitution. Mr Roland Ellis
of Macon is chairman of the senate
commitiee and Mr. Park of Greene ia
ohai man of the house committee
Messrs. Gary of ’R chmotd, Hitch of
Chatham, snd Miller of Muscogee are
