JUDGE SPARKS’ FATHER DEAD.
He Was One of the Oldest Residents of
Putnam County.
Word was received in this city jet*
tarday by Judge J. D Sparks’friends
that his ga her died Saturday night.
The Judge was called to his fathers
home last week by a telegram annouuc
ing the latter’s serious illness and tbe
news of his death was not unexpected.
Mr. W. H. Sparks was highly respect
ed and a prominent oi'lzen of Putnam
county, where for mnry years be was
engaged in farming. He had retired
from aotive life and at the time of his
death was 82 years of age.
It is expected that Judge Sparks w>)i
return to tbe oity Taurgday.
