HAVE BACHELORS ANY RIGHTS?,
Time was, and not ao long since
either, when the Anger of aoorn was
pointed at the old maid. Or worae
perhaps, tbst kind of pity or tolerance
which it more to be dreaded than
(corn. She was the victim of every
ooarse jnster, and at all time* expected
to “go way back and alt down.” But
pnblio sentiment has chauged vastly
within a few years, She Is an old maid

envied, and ocoupies the canter of the
stage. She is tbe twentieth oeotory
woman in earnest. Onprohrium Is
now oast upon the bachelor, who fa .di

arose in the Virglna legislatu.e wblob
occasioned a sharp division of tbe

The Virginia bachelor lawmakers Im

signal for the Virgins beauty to begin
a campaign which has sadly dsclmatsd

for wedding presents became so heavy
that the olub ignominlously disbanded.
So it goes. Tbe man who taboos mar

THE FIGHT ON MR. GLENN.
la reference to (he fight being made

the Atlnuta Journal quotes a promi

aohool oinoial in the aroads last night.
"An increasingly large number or peo

has been the object of mooh political
persecution ever since he announced
himself opposed to state ooifornuty of
text books. He was threatened last
year with lose of hia flics if be did aot

companies, and about a dot on secret
agents of these concerns. These com.

abroad many misrepresentations abont
the commissioner. They are endeav

into tbetr schemes some good men wbo
are expected to ba oatspawa to raka

their plans are doomed tn fall. At the

BAD BLOOD,
BAD COMPLEXION.
The skin is the seqt of an almost end
less variety of diJcAses. They are known
by various names, but are all due to the
same cause, acid and other poisons in
the blood that irritate and interfere with
tbe proper action of the skin.
To have a smooth, soft skin, free from
all eruptions, the l.luod must be kept pure
and healthy. The many preparations of
arsenic and potash and the large number
of face powders and lotions generally
used in this class of diseases cover up
for a short time, but cannot remove per
xnanently the ugly blotches and the red,
disfiguring pimples.
Eiet ‘af vtffilznco to the prioa
of a beautiful complexion
when such remedies are relied on.
Mr. U. T. Bhcibe, 2704 Lucas Avenue. St. Louis,
Mo, Bays : “My daughter was afflicted for year*
with a diafigui-.ng eruption on her face, which
resisted all treatment. She was taken to two
celebrated lieal - h springs, but received no bene
fit. Many medicines were prescribed, but with
out result, until we decided to try S. S. S., and by
the time the first bottlewas finishedtbeeruption
began to disappear. A dozen bottles cured her
completely and left her skin perfectly smooth.
She is now seventeen years c Id, and not a sign of
the embarrassing disease has ever returned."
S. S. S. is a positive, unfailing cure for
the worst forms of skin troubles. It is
the greatest of all bleed purifiers, and the
only one guaranteed purely vegetable.

There is great demand for strawber
