Germany is suffering great distress

THE BOARD OF TRADE. .
Every ciliz-nof Brunswick aid,
Glynn county should ba * membei
of the Brucswii k Boa'd of Trade and
help by hie interest and money in the
good work that asso jiation la doing.
That the Board of Trade bae done
wonderful work for ibis city and coun
ty cannot be denied. When Col. Good
year began nis bar work we hai only
18 feet of water. The Board of Trade
backed hi* first efforts and bus stood
by him ever since and now we have a
depth of 25% feet. Since this improve
ment was inaugurated and especially
during the past year this institution
has achieved much that hai added to
t-e present prosperity of our fair c:ty,
To mention some of t e fruits of its
labor and not go into details, there is
the Brunswick & Birmingham railroad,
Mr. Gotcb on the way with his sash,
door and blind factory,hopeful oorres
pondanoe about a large coMoa factory,
rumblings of an electric railway heard
in the distance, the HUgar oane ano
cassava convention and active work
being done on a number of enterprises.
Tbe securing of any one of these
entetpriees, several of which arcassnr
cd facts and already benefltting the
community, w uld be a good record for
one year, and a r cord 'hat mny
similar organizations in large cities
would be proud ©f, Rome was not
built in a day, and Brunswick cannot
bo turned into a thriving bustling
commercial center in a day. Give ike
Board of Trade time and it will accom
plish wonders if it lives up to Us record
for the past year. And it richly deserv
es the active corptra'ioii and help of oil
citizens.
