Garden club co-president Patsy Har

We’ve been selling them for ten years

Addressing garden club members
during a press conference last Wednes
day morning, County Commissioner
Uli Keller (Dist. 2) said, "We owe you
a special thanks. Your contribution is
truly appreciated, not just for islander’s
children and grandchildren, but for the
tourists who will visit here for years to
come. These trees make this intersec
tion a signature attraction. It is a great
memorial to all of St. Simons thanks to
you, the Land Trust and Sea Island."
In an understated manner, Sea
Island landscape architect Bill Eden-
field said the project benefited everyone
and gave the lion’s share of company’s
credit to the landscape department
crew who worked all night, starting
about 11:30, to get the trees and land
scaping in at a time when traffic was
minimal. □
