black PAGE 2, JULY 14, 2008, THE ISLANDER Page 2 United Way of Coastal Georgia announces 2008 Live United campaign goal of $1.5 million In a media luncheon hosted by the Ocean Lodge on St. Simons Island, the United Way of Coastal Georgia announced its community goal of $1,550,000 for the 2008 Live United Campaign. Campaign Chair, Missy Lane said, "The campaign for 2008 is about advancing the common good for all in our community... creating a bet ter life for all of us. Their goal is to create lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of problems. "We don't just address the symptoms of a problem," said Sylvia Geisler, CEO and President, but we go deep er to the underlying causes."
