“Annie Get Your Gun” was first

The Island Players are returning to

have been performing in since 1962.
The Players production of Berlin’s
rousing, rootin’ tootin musical is a must
see. “There’s No Business Like Show
Business”, ‘You Can’t Get a Man With
A Gun”, and “Anything You Can Do,
I Can Do Better” are just a few of the
memorable songs you are sure to be
singin’ along with the cast. For more

Musicians at the
Brunswick Library
“Three of Us” featuring the talented
musicians Bill Townsend, Bo Fox, and
Marie Toler will perform at the Bruns
wick Library for the Friends of the
Library’s annual meeting on Sunday,
November 2, at 3:00 p.m.
What began as an obscure duo
playing mostly for fun at small cof
fee houses and local restaurants has
evolved into what many are calling the
best trio in the Golden Isles.
The group performs a myriad of
pop and folk-type cover times from the
60’s and 70’s, specializing in two and
three part harmonies in the style of
the Everly Brothers, Simon and Gar-
fiinkel, the Beatles and Crosby, Stills
& Nash.
They play several Jimmy Buffett
and Bob Dylan tunes as well and
throw in songs made popular by Linda
Ronstadt, and Credence Clearwater
Revival.
Towsend has been performing pro
fessionally for over 30 years, and Fox
has been playing for over 45 years.
Marie, who joined the group about a
year ago, has been playing profession
ally for over 15 years and has become a
real focal point for their performances.
This program is part of the series
“Music from the Marshes,” funded by
the Grassroots Arts Program. Addi
tional funding has been provided by
the Friends of the Brunswick Library.
Refreshments will be served after the
concert. For additional information call
912 267-1212. □
