An evening of amusement is in
store for tiie people of this section.
Tin members of the P. T. 0.
Club and their friends will present
a pity entitled “The Old maid's
Convention within two or more
weeks, aud the proceeds from the
play are to be used for beautifying
the court house square and the ce
metery.
Loyal citizens will gladly attend
the play attesting by their presen
ce and the fee paid for admission
that they appreciate the civic pride
manifested by the ladies in their
effort to improve the appearance
of the squ ire and the cemetary.
Sheriff J. A. Phillips is again
without any prisoners in the coun
ty Jail.
MrH.D McMurria spent a few
days with home folks this week.

of honor was born.
All of his children who live in
Georgia enjoyed with a few friends
the feast prepared by Mr and Mrs
Pridgen Mr and Mrs Toole of Col
quitt, Mr and Mrs J. F. Brown
and Mr and Mrs Joe Brown of
Eldorendo with member* of their
families and a few of Mr Brown’s
friends were present at the home
of his youngest daughter at the
anniversary making the eighty
seventh mile post on life’s path
way.
Mr Brown has never used tabac
co.
He has never indulged in the
use of profane or obscene langue.
Until he grew partially deaf he
was fond of doing all in his pow
er to promote the work of schools
and churches.
He is yet active and ambitious
and keenly interested in state and
national affairs.
May the evening of life bring to
our parent blessings and may he
enjoy the 30th day of March as he
did in the year 1913.
