ternational Exposition, to be held at
Philadelphia from June 1 to Decent
her 1 in observance of 150 years ol
American Independence. If “Betty" is

she will be given a week’s trip to the
Exposition and to Washington and the
White House, where she will receive
a medal from the hands of President
Coolidge.

of the Sesqui-Centennial International
Exposition in Philadelphia as a tribute
to the youth and teachers of the na
tion. Miss Adams is a candidate for
the Golden Eaglette, the highest gift
in the hands of the Girl Scouts. She
was cited recently for exceptional

Land Sale Under
Power of Sale
GEORGIA, Miller County:
Under and by virtue of a power of
sale contained in a deed to secure debt,
executed by W. I. Geer to the Citizens
Bank & Trust Co. of Bainbridge, Ga.,
dated the 20th day of April, 1922, and
recorded in the office of the clerk of the
superior conrt of Miller co. Ga., on the
24 day of April, 1922, in deed record
book no. 10, page 357, the undersigned
will sell at public out cry, before the
court house door in Miller co. Ga., dur
ing the legal hours of sale, to the high
est bidder for cash, on the 10 day of
June, 1926, the following described
property to wit:
Twelve city lots, with all improve
ments thereon, in the city of Colquitt,
Miller co. Ga., being lots nos. one (1) to
(12) inclusive, in block no. 2 of the
John R. Sharpe addition to the city of
Colquitt, and containing six acres, more
or less. Same being a part of lot of
land no. 169 in the 13 dist. of Miller co.
Ga., and being the place where W. I.
Geer now lives.
Also twenty acres of land in the city
of Colquitt, being a part of land no. 169
in the 13 dist. dist. of Miller co. Ga.,
and being known as what was the Seab
Deßary home place, and being all of
the northern portion of said tract
which lies northward and northeast
ward of the fence that is around the 4
acre patch of W. R. Watson, said fence
being the south line of the land herein
conveyed, and the land herein conveyed
being known as the Moccasin Slough,
and said land is bounded on the north
by lands of Dancer and Bush, on the
east by land of J. S. Bush and the orig
inal land line, aa well as the street that
leads to the two negro churches in the
city of Colquitt, out by Jim Cheshire’s
home place, on the south by lands of
W. R. Watson, as well as some tenant
houses belonging to P. D. Kich, which
tenant houses of Kich are a part of the
W. R. Watscn patch, and on the West
by lands which formerly belonged to
Washington, but known as the P. D.
Rich and Dancer land, and known as
the Delia Bailey lands.
Said sale is made for the purpose ot
paying the indebtedness secured by the
said deed, evidenced by a promisory note
for the sum of *4.336.00, executed and
delivered by W. I. Geer to the Citizens
Bank & Trust Co., on the ~0 day of
April, 1922, stipulating for interest
from the date thereof at the rate of 8
per cent per annum, and for 20 per cent
atty, fees, which said promissory has
been sued to judgement in the superior
court of Miller co. Ga., and for the pur
pose of paying the said judgement and
the execution issued thereon including
principal, interest, atty, fees and costs
of court, and also for the further pur
pose of paying taxes and insurance paid
by the said Citizens Bank & Trust Co.,
on said property, together with the
costs of this proceeding, as provided in
said deed. A deed to the purchaser
will be made unper and by virtue of the
powers granted and contained in the
said deed to secure debt. This the 22
day of May, 1926.
