Serving His
Sentence
Most of the citizens heard how
colored men, Joe Brown and John
Gram, forced an entrance into th?
shop of Mr Floyd Pierce and took
out tools sufficient to open places
of business here.
This happened about two weeks
ago, and the Full Measure Service
Station was opened, and tires,
tubes and other automobile acces
sories were stolen. Next the brick
building owned by Watson Chev*
rolet Co., was entered and a few
pieces of gold, sooveniers, belong
ing to Mrs S. M. Watson, were ta
ken. These amounted to thirty-five
dollars. Every thing stolen by the
negroes was recovered except $5
of the gold coin.
Joe Brown entered pleas of guil
ty to having burglarized the stores
here and is now serving the two
year sentence passed on him.
John Graham was carried to
Clay county with charges prefer
red against him for stealing by
parties living in Ft, Gains.

The Liberal is glad, indeed, to
publish news items of interest to
communities; but w? hope out
writers will omit telling who went
motor riding, etc.
If someone in the community
tikes a ride on nu airplane, we
would like to have that it<-m; but
automobile rides are too common
now to note.
