TOO Muckl UP.
The greatest trouble with the young
people these days, is too much lip.
Young boys and old boys; young girls,
old girls and thi hard girls that vibrate
between the ages of siyeet sixteen and
twenty for a decade or two, all suffer
from a preponderance of lip. They
seem to be born with more lip than
formerly. It is no usual thing now for
a two months old baby to have a five
year old lip on him—or her, as the case
maybe. A nine year old boy of the
present day can wrap up a six inch ci
gar in one side of his mouth, chew gum
on the other and have enbugh lip lying
around loose to talk a man with good
sense to death in twenty minutes.
Take a miss of the preeent generation
and give her free license to run her lip
according to the dictates of her own
conscience and she would melt any
telephone wire in the country before
yon could pull her off.
Lip is a great thing; yet, like the nose
of a piney woodspig, it can easily be
overdone and spoil the cemetry ot the
whole hog.
