Mr. Samuel Gould rah-against one of
these immense frozen pendants fall with
such force as to cause him to upon
the rough path and to loosen the icicle,
which felf with a crash upon him. An
ugly cut in the back of the head and a
bruised back made it necessary for his
companions to assist him back to the
hotel. There he received proper at¬
tention, and was sufficiently recovered
after dinner to take the Central train
with his friends for New York. Soon
after starting the injured man lost his
reason. It required several men to
keep him still. Arriving in this city
the unfortunate young man was con¬
veyed to the hospital, and his friends
remained over until his recovery. At
last accounts this morning he was con¬
scious and slowly recovering .—Buffalo

parts of the body, and resorted some since the

apparatus for six months, but found no
relief. At the time nothing was noted
of an unusual character as a result, and
although several months have since
elapsed, it was only when the recent
cold weather commenced that any
extraordinary symptoms followed. One
night last week the lady had occasion
to enter a dark room and pick up a
woolen coat that was lying there. and As
she did so she was both surprised
